In Abeokuta , Ogun State, the officers of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) had too much to chew following an assault on a soldier thought to be a Yahoo Boy . A footage shared via Instagram today showed a violent scene revealing a confrontation between a group of policemen and the serviceman. The soldier who was dressed casually did not appear pleased following the assault which ensured his shirt was ripped. As seen in the video, the party engaged themselves in an unfriendly conversation held close to a vehicle suspected to be owned by the soldier. Nigerians workers will have reason to rest as the Federal Government has announced a 2-day public holiday. The Federal Government has declared Friday, 15 and Monday, 18 as public holidays to mark the 2018 Id-el Fitr. Minister of Interior, Lieutenant Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau, (rtd), made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government in a statement on Monday in Abuja. He congratulated the Muslim faithful on a successful completion of the Ramadan and enjoined all Nigerians to use the occasion of the celebration to pray for the peace, unity, prosperity and stability of the nation. Dambazau in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary Dr M. B. Umar said government desired that all Nigerians be inspired by the virtues gained during the Holy Month of Ramadan to live a life of sacrifice, charity and love for one another.
